Finacial Year: 2016-17

  • Quality Education to weaker

  • Executive Body in its meeting dated 24th April, 2016 decided to provide a teacher for teaching English, Math, and Hindi to the students of Jamia Darul Quran, Mithila Vihar, Khora colony from the month May, 2016. Thirty five children would be benefited from the program. The effectiveness of the program would be continuously monitored by the Foundation. It was also decided to provide 35 sets of book and stationery for each child. Estimated expenditure on the project is around Rs 1.25 lacs.

  • Ration to Jamia darul Quran, Mithila Vihar, Khora colony school, worth Rs 2000 was provided on 19-03-16

  • Library:

  • A library was started on 31-01-16 at Baratghar, Nithari for weaker section. SEFI made initial contribution Rs 1000 to for the purpose.

  • Winter Uniform Distribution
    • 18 students of school Jamia darul Quran, Mithila Vihar, Khora colony costing Rs 6615
    • 19 students of MET School, Sector 10,NOIDA costing Rs 6400
    • 16 students of Abhay Convent School, Nithari costing Rs 4900

  • Cultural Event- Annual Day SEFI on 12th September, 2015.

  • Cultural EVENT on In line with our objectives we organized, annually, comprising performance by few schools, catering to weaker section, children of local residents and Qawaali reflecting our rich “Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb”. Dr Mahesh Sharma, Central Culture Minister was chief Guest. Our past programs were chaired by noted personalities and have been grand success. We announce number scholarships/donation to the needy children of schools of weaker strata of the society. It was heartening to note that RWA, Sector-39, NOIDA supported the program in past and they have continued the support this year also.

  • NATIONAL SPORTS DAY (Khel Diwas) on 28th August 2015,

  • NATIONAL SPORTS DAY (Khel Diwas) CELEBRATION, 2nd Major Dhyan Chand Inter School Cross Country Championship for Boys and Girls, on 28th August 2015, at Noida Stadium. SEFI contributed Rs 3100 and also helped the SSCA in organizing the program.

  • FEES for poor children on 20th, May, 2015

  • Fees(Rs 6000) @ Rs 3000 each to 2 poor children of Abhay School nithari was provided.

  • Medical Camp on 3rd May, 2015

  • Free Medical(Dental) Camp on 3rd May, 2015 at Nithari govt School was organized.Dental health is very important to ensure overall health but it has been observed that dental problems are often overlooked by the common man due to cost of treatment. In view of this SOCIO-ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION OF INDIA (SEFI) organized a Free Medical(Dental) Camp on 3rd May, 2015 at Government School, Masjid Road, Nithari from 9 AM to 12.30 PM. Free medicine will be provided .Special arrangements were made for check-up of the school children.

  • Cultural Activity-Noida Basant Mahotsava on 13th Feb, 2015

  • SEFI actively cooperated in organizing above cultural program with another NGO – SSCA. The program provides opportunity to children of schools catering to weaker section t5o showcase their artistic talents.

  • Drawing competition on 28th Nov, 2014

  • Drawing competition is being organised on 28th Nov, 2014 at open ground, adjacent to sports complex of Noida Stadium. The drawing competition will be under four different age groups- (i) Pre-Primary (Std I – II), (ii) Primary (Std III- - V) (iii) Middle (std VI – VII), (iv) Sr Secondary (Std IX – XII).

Forty children would be benefited from the program The effectiveness of the program would be continuously monitored by the foundation. A teaher was provided to school teacher- for April-May 2015.

  • Noida Basant Mahotsava(An Inter-School Indian Folk Dance competition) was organized on 13th Feb, 2015 at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra Auditorium,Sector-6. SEFI activily cooperated in organizing the [program and contributed Rs 5100.

  • SEFI decided to provide a teacher for teaching English, Math, and Hindi to the students of Jamia Darul Quran, Mithila Vihar, Khora colony from the month of Aug, 2013 to March, 2014. Forty five children would be benefited from the program The effectiveness of the program would be continuously monitored by the foundation.

  • Assisting poor for livelihood

  • Navratan Foundation provides sewing machine and training to poor families for helping them to earn livelihood. SEFI donated Rs 5000 on 08/07/13 for purchase of sewing machine.

  • Encouraging the students who excelled in academics and extra-curricular activities.

  • Chairman of the trust was Chief Guest at Annual Function at Abhay Public School, Nithari Village on 16th may, 2013 to encourage the students who excelled in academics and extra-curricular activities. Children gave excellent cultural program on the occasion. Refreshment was provided to children from the trust.

  • Noida Basant Mahotsava(An Inter-School Indian Folk Dance competition) was organized on 13th Feb, 2014 at open ground in nithari Village. SEFI activily cooperated in organizing the [program and contributed Rs 3100. Charman SEFI was special guest at the event.

  • Encouraging extra curricular Activities. Feb, 2013

  • Abhay Public School also organized a trekking program in hills. The chairman/ secretary of the trust encouraged the students and distributed dry fruits and biscuits for the trekking.

  • Lohri with cultural activities was celebrated in the Abhay convent School on 14th Jan, 2013. The functionaries of the trust were present on the occasion. The children were told about importance of the festival.

  • library cum computer room Abhay convent School

  • It was felt that a library cum computer room may be provided to the Children of the school. The Executive body in its meeting 30th September decided to look for some donors for books, computers and furniture. Some donors have agreed to provide these facilities but it got delayed due to the shifting of the school to a new building. Since school has shifted now to a new building, now it is proposed to complete this work during Feb-March, 2013.

  • national integration, communal harmony and brotherhood for peaceful coexistence – cultural program on 8th September, 2012.

  • One of the important objectives of the trust is to strive for national integration, communal harmony and brotherhood for peaceful coexistence. The trust is organizing cultural activity on the occasion eid, every year. The program was organized 8th September, 2012. Sri Wajahat Habibullah, the Chairman Minority commission was the chief guest. Other important dignitaries were Mr. Siraj Hussain, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Mr Safdar hussain Chairman Delhi Minority commission, Mr K. C. Agarwal, President Senior Citizen Forum, were Guest of honour. Apart from cultural performance of School children and sector-39, a qawaali program with theme national integration was also organized . The opportunity was taken to provide stage for children of weaker section, particularly our adopted school – Abhay Public School. The children of the school gave excellent cultural program including a forceful Bhangra.

  • Cultural AQctivity at Abhay Convent School, Nithari, School 15-08-2012

  • Executive body members are visiting Schools for participating in the school programs. Sweets were distributed 15-08-2012 on the occasion of Independence Day at Abhay Convent School, Nithari, School. It was heartening to see the beautiful performances of children.

  • Noida Basant Mahotsava(An Inter-School Indian Folk Dance competition) 20th Feb, 2013 at govt primary school nithari

  • Inter School Cultural Competition called Basant Mahotasav was organized by Noida Sansrakitik and Khelkood Samiti on 20th Feb, 2013 like last year. 150 children from 12 schools of weaker section participated before a gathering of 4000 people. The children gave excellent performance. The trust co-operated with the Society for the organizing the event. A financial help of Rs 3000 was provided. President and Vice president of the Trust were guest of honor along with several noted social workers of NOIDA

  • 16th March,2013 -Eye Check up camp At MET School, Sector-8

  • Free Eye check-up camp for the students Of MET School, Sector 8, catering to very poor strata of the society, was organized on 16th March, 2013 with cooperation of Icare Hospital, Sector 27, NOIDA. Team of doctors from ICARE examined more than 150 children and 14 children were asked to come to the hospital for further check-up. The trust has decided to bear the cost of medicines, operation, specs; if any.

  • Cooperation in organizing Noida Basant Mahotsava(An Inter-School Indian Folk Dance competition) 5th Feb, 2012 at govt primary school nithari

  • ‘Nithari Sansikritik avan Khelkood Samiti’, managed by Gram Pradhan Nithari Gram Panchayat, approached the Trust to support it in organizing Basant Mahotsav where school children from the schools of Nithari and nearby localities would participate. The theme of program was Indian folk dances and short plays on current national issues like environment, corruption, and dowry and gender bias. Executive body in its meeting dated 22nd jan, 2012 considered the excellent proposal, which would not only promote children’s awareness of our cultural wealth and current burning issues but also provide them opportunity to realize their talents, and decided to contribute up to Rs 3000 to the Samiti. To encourage students on the spot cash prizes amounting to Rs 5500, in consultation with organizers, was also distributed to the participants. The Basant Mahotasav was organized on 5th feb, 2012. 142 children from 11 schools of weaker section participated before a gathering of 4000 people. The children gave mesmerizing performance.   • Ration for the poor children

  • Trust donated Rs. 3000 to Madrasa for buying ration for the poor children

  • Republic day on 26th Jan, 2012 with children of the Abhay Convent School

  • Vice president and secretary of the Trust celebrated the Republic day on 26th Jan, 2012 with children of the Abhay Convent School. The importance of Republic day was explained to the children. Sweets were distributed to the children.

  • Award distribution to best performers of painting competition, organized at Nithari Village on 20th Nov, 2011

  • Mr M. M. A. Beg, Chairman of the Trust was also invited as Chief Guest by Pradhan, Nithari Gram Panchayat, Bisrakh Block, Gautam Budh Nagar at function on 20th Nov, 2011 to distribute awards to best performers of painting competition, organized at Nithari Village. More than 20 schools participated in the event. The prize was distributed by the chairman and Mr Abdul Basit Trustee of the Trust. The Trust also distributed prizes to all participants to encourage participation in such programs by the children. Apart from these, the Executive body members are always participating in programs, particularly school functions to encourage children from weaker section. Chairman and Secretary of the Trust visited Abhay Convent School on 7th Nov, 2011 on eve of Eid to explain why and how it is celebrated.

  • Woolen uniform to poor children 10th Oct, 2011

  • Executive Body in its meeting on 10th Oct, 2011 decided to distribute woolen clothes to poor children of Abhay Convent School. Principle was requested to purchase sweaters amounting to Rs. 3000/-, which would be reimbursed by us. The sweaters were purchased and distributed to the students by us.

  • Cultural Program with theme-‘National Integration, Communal Harmony and universal Brotherhood’ on 10th sept,2011

  • The Executive body in its meeting dated 18/08/2011 had decided to start its activities towards one of its objective of ‘National Integration, Communal Harmony and universal Brotherhood’. It was decided to hold an eid-milan program followed by cultural program by children of Abhay Convent School, and Qawaali program with theme of national integration. The program was held on 10th September, 2011 at Community Center, Sector-39, NOIDA. It was grand success. It was attended by very senior government officials, noted literary people, technocrats, educationist, distinguished gathering from NCR. Dr. S. Kumar Indo Gulf Hospital was Chief Guest. Dr pandit Anand Mohan Zutshi, Mr Safdar Hussain Khan, Chairman Delhi State Minority Commission, Begum Rashida Hussain, Additional secretary to Government of India, were Guest of Honour. It got wide coverage from press

  • Encouraging School Children for better performance.

  • Mr. M. M. A. Beg, Chairman and Mr. Basit, Trustee attended the Annual function of the Abhay Convent School. Sweets was distributed and children were awarded by the Trust for their academic and extra-curricular performance.

  • Independence Day on 15th Aug, 2011 at Abhay Convent School and Jamia Usmania Darul Ulum, a madrasa

  • The Socio-Economic Empowerment Foundation celebrated the Independence Day on 15th Aug, 2011 at Abhay Convent School and Jamia Usmania Darul Ulum, a madrasa, an Orphanage at Haldoni Village, Greater NOIDA. The national flag was unfurled at Madrasa. Sweets were distributed and children were awarded again for the academic performance at Abhay Convent School, Nithari.

  • Ist important activity after establishment of SEFI-Arranging potable water -RO system at the Abhay school (27/02/2011)

  • Executive Body in its meeting dated 27/02/2011 discussed the action plan of the Trust. Keeping in view the present resources it was decided that let us start helping schools of poor classes, since education is the most important area which needs attention of everybody. In addition, it was also decided, subject to availability of funds, seminars and functions may be held to promote national integration and communal harmony. Accordingly the Executive body surveyed the nearby area and located a school, Abhay Convent School in the Nithari village of NOIDA. The Executive Body members visited the school on 15/03/2011 for the on the spot study. It was found that children from very poor class (cobbler, housemaids, rickshaw pullers etc.) are largely coming to the school. The Trust offered to provide books, uniforms etc. to the school Management. The principal informed that books have been already arranged. He informed us that the children are taking hard ground water and there is very urgent need of potable water. Executive Body discussed the matter on 25/3/2011. It was decided to immediately install a RO system at the school. An RO system was installed at the School on 28/06/2011.
